WHO WE ARE
Having enjoyed vacations on the Norfolk Broads for many years we acquired Sandringham Cottage as we felt there was a market for quality self catering holiday lets in Wroxham.
We also believe that the cottage is in a great central location on the Norfolk Broads and within Wroxham itself - fantastic river views over Wroxham Reach, fishing on site in season, within walking distance of the village centre, close to a number self drive day boat centres, skippered tour boats, takeaways and restaurants.
Sandringham Cottage is in a prime position on the Peninsula marina in Wroxham adjacent to the River Bure and just downstream from the infamous bridge. There is a covered south east facing balcony ideal to enjoy coffee in the morning sun and a picnic table on the lawn to eat at in the summer. The bedrooms, both with dual aspect river views and full height ceilings, have been fully refurnished and decorated with new beds, linen and heating ensuring you get a great night's rest. The lounge area has tables, sofas and a TV with DVD for comfortable evenings in.
Additional investments have also been made including double glazing throughout, a beautiful bathroom and fitted kitchen with integrated appliances such as hob, oven, microwave and dishwasher which, with the existing additional insulation already applied, will make this a cosy year round holiday retreat.
Prices are seasonal but for 2022 start from £525 a week for winter fishing. A £100 refundable security deposit is required. Sorry no smoking, no children under five and no pets.
THE NORFOLK BROADS
Wroxham is known as "The Capital of the Norfolk Broads". The Norfolk Broads, a National Park, are a series of man made lakes connected by rivers that provide mile after mile of tranquil waterways that are ideal for fishing, birdwatching, kayaking, sailing and motor boating.
Among our favourite venues in Wroxham are the Yim Siam Thai restaurant, Wherryman's Restaurant for pizzas and The Old Mill Restaurant..
Further afield are the seaside towns of Cromer, Sheringham, Sea Palling and Great Yarmouth with great beaches. Norwich is about 8 miles away with its cathedral, market, castle and shopping opportunities. There are also a number of attractions for children - Bewilderwood, Wroxham Barns, the Bure Valley Railway and zoos such as Africa Alive. For stately homes lovers there is Blickling Hall, Holkham Hall and of course Sandringham House!
